                      WELCOME ?

Hello there. Thanks for looking in on me. I've been making wood items

for folk artists off and on over 20 years. The past few years I have

concentrated on unfinished wood items for rosemal painters.  I'm retired

now, so now my wife paints and I  make the wood for her, other members

of Western Rosemalers Association, and any folk artist who needs high

quality wood items on which to paint.  See some of my wood for sale at the

Tine' page  or trunk & box page. Wood pieces decorated with Rosemal

painting can be seen on the Western Rosemalers Association page.

We come from  a small town called Ione in the far North East  corner of

Washington State, in Pend Oreille County. Mountain country about 85

miles North of Spokane. Take a look::

  WHAT IS ROSEMAL PAINTING ?

Rosemal painting (Rose painting) is a folk art originally from Norway and also from Sweden and other

Scandinavian countries. It was done to decorate buildings, furniture and  household  items.

rosemal painting is a beautiful and a very teachable art form. You can learn even if you have never

done any sort of art or drawing. Go to the Western Rosemalers Association page and find links to

teachers and other organizations. Rosemal artists are friendly and helpful, and would love to teach you.
